Generally the blame for economic problems is assigned to the President in office when it is noticed by the citizens. Democrat tax increases will cause a recession unless they limit the increases. Whoever is elected President in 2008 will get the blame for the democrat 2006 recession. If it is a democrat, the FMSM will try to shift the blame for democrats actions to President Bush.
