11/10/06 Update
A decent week for the Nasdaq Biotech Index. At Friday's close, the NBI was up 3.57% YTD (vs. up 1.64% YTD at its 11/3/06 close). The Charity Contest portfolios had a somewhat less positive week, but their median still switched back to plus territory for the year, closing up .58% YTD (vs. down -.88% YTD at the 11/3/06 close). At Friday's close, 21 of the 40 Charity Portfolios were in the black YTD and 14 of the 40 portfolios were outperforming the NBI.
Wilder and RKRW remain our leaders, with Wilder's portfolio ending the week up 53.0% YTD and RKRW ending with a 47.5% YTD gain.(The ANOR buyout closed last week and the proceeds were reallocated to Wilder's other stocks.)
Have a terrific weekend everyone!
