The latest issue of Investor's Digest of Canada (September 26) included a report by HSBC James Capel recommending the purchase of shares in Dorel Industries, as follows:

"Dorel, which is approaching $500 million in annual sales, is emerging as a global contender in the juvenile products industry and is considered a top-five player in the North American ready-to-assemble furniture industry.

"Dorel has created new product categories for discount mass merchants such as Wal-Mart that will allow them to move into more standard department store categories without upsetting the 'impulse' nature of their product offerings.

"With the company firing on all cylinders, its exceptional earnings performance will continue and the shares should hit the $40 level by the end of next year."

Dorel shares (MSE: DII.B) keep advancing, closing at 31.65 on Friday.
