TJ, I don't know much about the politics of Venezuela. If you want to know whether it's a democracy, you could ask Google. "Democracy" is a bit like "beauty" - "erotic art" - "pornography" = it's hard to define each one, but I know it when I see it. I can consult for you for my usual hourly rate and advise on the position of Venezuela on a democracy scale of 0 to 10 with 0 being total totalitarianism to 10 being full scale deflection Libertarianism. Which is an interesting commentary itself on "democracy" as democracy is just mob rule to a greater or lesser extent, which could range from 0 to 10 on the same scale yet be fully democratic.
