made them out to be better than what they were Focusing on the positive, and not mentioning the negative, is making them out to be better than what they where, but it isn't lying. Saying someone is doing a good job when they are not is lying. Note: I'm not claiming that Rush didn't lie, maybe he did, I'd have to examine each claim of a lie on its own merits. I'm just pointing out that saying "I'm not going to carry water for them anymore" isn't an admission of a lie. If he lied, he hasn't admitted it, at least not with that statement. Like I said previously, you have a hard time reading between the lines. You do know that there are a number of Republicans who are angry because they defended Rumsfeld during their campaigns, only to see him fired after the election.
