The rest of OPEC doesn't have another 2 million barrels per day of extra capacity. That is one of the main reasons oil is $60 and not $40 now, no room for sudden shocks from geopolitical events. Perhaps the new US strategy in Iraq should be to safeguard all the oil facilities and let the rest of the country fend for itself. Probably more productive for everyone in the long run.
