EC, the figures I posted were in Al Gore's movie (an inconvenient truth). Everyone should see that movie.

I saw that movie with my son in law and asked him if the movie was correct. He said it was.

I am not qualified to debate particulars with you.

Regarding anecdotal information, sometimes it is the best. A couple of examples.

Take playing the horses (max will confirm this one-lol): you have a racing form with tons of information. But a qualified person who knows the horses, jockeys and the track can often do better in predicting which horse will win.

Mining stocks the same thing. Tons of information out there, but I will seldom butt heads with claude or kaiser, or you. All three of you know so much more than I.

So it is with my son in law. He is on the inside. He not only knows most of the worlds great climatologists, but is one of them and communicates with many of them on a daily basis.

My guess EC, is that he simply has a much better perspective on global warming than any of us. And if you knew him he is so solid a scientist and honest almost to a fault. A very rare individual.

He says the vast majority of the top scientists believe they know man is causing the global warming and it is a bad situation. Interestingly, he thinks the first problem will be massive flooding of low lying areas like florida, New York and Bangladesh.

EC, if these great scientists think they know, we would be fools not to take them seriously.

Surely you agree with that.
