the political landscape is also now more conducive along with other factors. i've been trying to get a handle on this angle...lots of conflicting opinions here, and i have yet to hear one that i strongly agree with. my best take so far is that the dems don't like the deficit spending and if they can bring that down it would help the dollar...there are plenty of buts and howevers and i haven't made up my mind time for another heineken :-)
