A quick note on B12. Conventional wisdom says that if you eat meat you do not need to supplement B12 (and if you don't eat your meet, you can't have any pudding). My doctor, who is unusually keyed into diet issues, had me tested for blood b12 levels as part of a routine screen. I came in well under normal range, and he started me on supplements. My energy level has improved markedly since starting the B12 supplements.

I recommend anyone over 40 to take a hard look at B12 as absorption ability generally decreases with age.
