I don't think there is much doubt we are leaving Iraq, the question is how fast and if we can do anything positive as we execute the strategy. Maybe somebody will come up with something... I don't have any ideas on how to minimize the damage Bush has wrought on that country. Bush-Cheney-Rove will try to extend the occupation. But I think they have been marginalized. It's one thing to abuse this county, and another country, it's another thing to lose power. The money folks behind the Republican party don't like that at all. Negative ROI. Hopefully any "2 year exit strategy" from the Bush folks will go down in flames. It will be interesting to see what Baker et al will come up with. This week, right?
