XMSR cuts guidance AGAIN - no longer is the party line 8 million subscribers. You will notice that XM declared that they are no longer going to provide "net add" information until they report. Which in my OPINION would seem to indicate that they may not be too sure about even that three time revised number of 7.6 million on the bottom end of the scale. I mean.. The last thing you would want is not to make that bottom end number and leave a couple of months before you could present the other side of the equation in the presentation. Don't get me wrong.. I understand WHY they did it.. And I would probably do the same thing if I were in their shoes. One thing is obvious.. If they thought they were going to blow away the numbers, they would be very anxious to get the story out. It seems to me that XM is in the process of attempting to transistion away from the growth story, into the financial performance story.. The only problem is, both of these companies are still priced as a growth story.. PCSTEL
