No not exactly according to what I have heard. Seed extract is mostly catechins, and pro-anthocyanidins. The resveratrol is mostly in the skin of the grape. Seed extract is good, but resveratrol is best preserved in alcohol and its only reliable source is wine made from humid condition grapes, not california. or the red grapes themselves. I would eat grapes and take grape seed. Alcohol is also good in moderation if it is red wine. Alcohol from fermented sources or beer/wine may also have other beneficial effects on cholesterol reduction outside the reseveratrol connection. This has been known for 100 years.
