Banc One is exactly the bank I expect to come in and buy SOTR. I think the odds of a defensive move by any of the super-regionals (Nations, First Union, SunTrust or Wachovia) are slim. The only alternative to SOTR for a significant market presence is Fidelity National (LION). LION has under $1B in assets in the Atlanta market, compared to over $6B for SOTR. LION is also one of the more poorly run banks in the country. They did'nt meet their minimum capital requirements at the last OCC exam.

Good luck,
Martin
