"I agree with Bill o'Reilly who said let the Iraqis vote on us staying or not."

A very sensible idea (which is why it won't be allowed....)

A question for Longnshort, or Buddy or anyone else: Assuming there was a referendum in Iraq in our staying. Let's say all Iraqis could vote. Let's say the Kurds voted 90% that we stay because they are worried about what the Sunnis or Shia will do to them if we leave (and they aren't quite ready to declare Kurdistan yet). Let's say the Sunni are worried about the Shia but vote 55% that we leave. The Shia vote 60% that we leave. The Total Iraqi vote is that we stay by, say, 60%. But the guys fighting each other (and us....) say leave by 58%.

If we treat Iraq as one nation than we should take the cumulative vote and stay...carrying out the mission. If we look region by region, or sectarian group by group, we should leave.(or stay up North only).

I mean, geez.....it ain't easy to do something like let em vote if we should stay or leave.
