Hi John,
As you must know by now...
Deutsche Bank on Monday raised its price targets on personal computer makers Dell Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Co. citing "better visibility" on their near-term results.
The brokerage's new price target on Dell is $28, compared with $25 earlier, while that on Hewlett-Packard Co. is $40, up from $34 previously.
Deutsche Bank has a "buy" rating on Dell shares, which rose almost 3 percent at $25.62 in afternoon trade on the Nasdaq. -----------------------------------------------------------
Regarding the data recovery.....paid microsoft a one time incident fee (later refunded) to find out what I really knew, that drive was suffering physical failure and not due to sofware. Sent drive out to a 'clean room' recovery center which charged $175 to evaluate. They would then send me an e-mail list of files recovered and I would make decision based on that whether to continue or not. If all important files were recovered, price would have been ~$1500. Four business days after sending out drive, I received a call telling me the drive suffered catastrophic failure. I basically missed the rest of the conversation, but called data center back, told them I finally regained consciousness after hearing the word catastrophic, and they proceeded to tell me that to get data off this drive would be akin to driving a hyundai across a 40 foot deep pothole....it just ain't happening. Then I entered the bargaining stage of bereavement and asked if I could possible pay more for them to retrieve my data. Their response was..."Sir, there's not a data recovery center on the planet which can retrieve any data off this drive!" I proceeded to my local bar to help me forget how big of an ass I was regarding regular backup. It tool a lot of alcohol !! Needless to say, I'm now the poster boy of data backup !!
