That's pretty sad. I would think your job is to actually teach them real material, not act as a surrogate parent.

It is too bad but I don't know what you mean by a surrogate parent. We aren't parenting them. Instead, the goal is to provide different types of interaction during the class........videos,powerpoint presentations, lecture, Q&A, computer time, group activities, etc.
