Now that you bring it up, she used a sort of soft B that sounded a bit like a V, hard for me to imitate.

But what do I know? She usually dragged me to an Irish bar and we tippled the night away.

Once, in an Irish bar in NYC, we met the Irish National Soccer team. After many rounds, everyone had to stand up and sing a song. Joe Redneck here did a Jimmy Rogers ditty that'd have made the Opry proud. They loved it, since most hill country tunes had their origins in Scotch/Irish melodies.

After x number of rounds, I was flush to the gills and pouring mine in the potted plant behind me.

She went many rounds further and proceeded to drink those strapping lads under the table.

A tiny little thing she was, too, with a lovely coloratura soprano, used to sing at the Met.

I wonder where she is now?
