That's a MIGHTY big and complex topic. (It's like asking 'show me a study on nuclear physics'... it covers a lot of ground.) You seem to be sniffing around the discredited early 20th. Century theory of Lamarckianism... a theory (before genetics was understood) based on the assumed heritability of acquired characteristics. See: en.wikipedia.org
