It truly is one of the most beautiful places on earth.
They call it Lyfords Cay.
A real-life tropical island paradise.
Blue waters... whispering breezes that snake through
the palms at night.
The air is thick with mystery and sprinkled with intrigue.
On any given day... it is home to more billionaires per
square foot than anywhere else on planet earth...and most
of them are pirates.
Modern day, or not... pirates by any other name -- are still pirates.
They say it is the center of the offshore hedge fund universe.
And they are right -- it is.
At times, it is also the straw that stirs the market drink.

How long have I been pounding the table about him being
-- "the single most important man in the Oil universe"?
And Oil is the lead dog in the commodity pack.
...lead dog in the geopolitical pack as well.
Bush #41's team is now -- large and in charge.
Junior has been re-positioned as a lame-duck, lap-dog.
Rummy's out... and ole` 41's CIA partner Gates is in.
The New Paradigm Shift is now in full bloom.
They knew the House was going to fall...but, not the Senate.
...makes for a very dangerous world.
I told you Bush's approval rating chart was --
"the single most imporant chart" in the market.
And it was.
America is now at a crossroads.
And you know what they say...

I've just gotten home. Had a long flight, a trip that was
too interesting and too enlightening to cut short.
But, I've got to be up at 4 a.m. tomorrow... off to Chi-town
to meet with "the Grain Guru of Gurney"(so he is called).
The damn guy lives in one of those high-falutin' gated
communities where everyone has horses. The kids all take
equestrian lessons, the fat-bastards try to play polo and
they even have real-life freekin' "Fox Hunts" -- can you
believe that $h!t?
Tell me that isn't...fall of the Roman Empire - deja vu?
Anyway... I'm beat.
Bleary-eyed and bone-dead tired.
Probably rambling on at this point...(imagine that).
Off again in 4-5 hours to see the "grain guru"...and then
I'm coming back to catch a solid 12 hours of sleep.
Sleep deprivation isn't fun.
By Thursday night, I'll catch up on Smackdown. There
had better have been "10 hands in the air"...for that charlatan's HUI chart.
If there was -- I'll post it as promised.
It there wasn't -- it won't be.
This is the same guy that made that a call for HUI 370 back
in June 2005, just when the HUI did a "V-bottom" off of
it's 2nd "100 point death march."
His chart cirulated on the Kitco Forums and I linked to
it in a post on either the NR thread, or the Woodshed I believe.
Go find it -- it's out there...
I'm sure some of you remember those "Buck Up - Bugs" days (I sure do)
...when sentiment reached the lowest point ever measured by Hulberts Digest.
Fwiw... he is not me.
His original chart calling for a run to HUI 370 back in
May and June 2005 went over everyone's heads then, because
the HUI had doubled topped at 250 and had just completed
it's 2nd "100 point HUI death march" in as many years.
It's a bit of an inside baseball thing between us.
I thought if you guys wanted to have a premature 'bugulation
-- that at least I'd give you some good 'bug-porn to have one over...
Anyway...
If we had "10 hands" I'll get it posted, along with my
rebuttal to his smackdown -- for this Sunday Night.
I'm telling you all -- this is just a "premature 'bugulation."
