I'd like to see the "discovery" of this new oil lead to lower energy prices but I somehow think that is unlikely. It's not going to be cheap or easy to get at it.

I'm looking at an industrial biotech industry that will produce ethanol and biodegradable plastics from corn, switchgrass miscanthus, and waste. I can assure you that it will be much cheaper, better for the environment, and energy security to exploit such renewable energy resources than to exploit the marginal 2 TB of oil they say is down there. But I'm perfectly happy to see them exploit both in tandem. ;-)
