I'm not disagreeing, gem. Only saying that stating broad principles like, "there should be no corruption," doesn't move the propisition very far down the road. IMPLEMENTATION is the bugaboo. I suspect even congress critters Murtha, Cunningham, and Jefferson would agree with the principle and would vote for it, even as they continued their corrupt practices.

"Americans should love their country" is another such broad idea, but people will hold signs professing their allegience while they burn the flag.

It's the movement from principle to practice that holds the difficulty.
