Excellent point. Some people on this thread should read your post a few more times. Blindness in the world of stocks can hurt you where it counts the most. As you may have noticed, stocks go down a lot faster than they go up, and unless you react quickly to a stock that is breaking down, by selling, you find yourself in a bad situation, which is magnified if margin is involved. I use stops as it takes the decision making process out. I find that most of the time when a stop of mine is triggered, I am glad it was because the stock continued to drop. A good rule of thumb is to sell if a stock closes under the 50 day moving avg, as that is often used to determine a healthy stock.
