HSCC - Homeland Security Corporation Awarded Contract to Supply Video/Audio Systems to HONEYWELL Romania
NEWPORT BEACH, CA, Nov 14, 2006 is pleased to announce it has been awarded an additional contract to supply "Video/Audio Security Systems" to HONEYWELL's Bucharest facility in Romania. The initial contract consists of Receivers and Transmitters and other security devices to be provided to Honeywell's main facilities. This is the second security system that Homeland Security Corporation has provided this installation. Due to security restrictions, the exact system and specifications cannot be identified; however, it appears that the government is stepping up and increasing security at many of their installations.
Last year also saw the U.S. firm establish an engineering centre in Bucharest, with their initial intentions being to involve Romanian engineers in Honeywell's local projects.
Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff calls for creation of a "Worldwide security envelope" in order to screen people and cargo traveling across international boundaries. He said he hopes to move partnerships between the United States and European allies "to the next Level."
