50 years ago I was a kid growing up near Harlingen, which is in the southern tip of Texas. I remember two English-Spanish traffic signs that were pretty common ... 


           STOP             SLOW
           ALTO           DESPACIO

Nowadays in that area, most radio stations are Spanish.
