The propaganda machine seems to be in full swing today. A few non Western media sources on Iran's "nukes":

irna.com

english.farsnews.com

irna.ir

mehrnews.ir

iht.com

There are a few things the average lemming should know about the whole Iranian "nuke" issue. It takes tens of thousands of centrifuges to produce fuel grade plutonium, and tens of thousands more to produce weapons grade material. Iran has 164 centrifuges. Fuel grade is enriched to around 5%, which is all that has ever been found in Iran. Weapons grade material has to be nearly pure, and nothing close to that level has been found in the traces noted even on used equipment. The stuff being lauded in the press as "new" has actually been under constant UN supervision for over 3 years, and actually proves Iran is in total compliance with the non proliferation treaty.

If Iran totally abandoned the NPT today, and launched a full blown program to build a bomb, they might almost be ready to build a wet firecracker of the North Korean variety 5-10 years from now.

But hey, there's nothing like a bogus WMD scare to rally bare foot country rednecks around a president with a 31% approval rating.
