Another big lie of Hannity-Limbaugh's is that the GOP lost because the GOP congress wasn't conservative enough. Hello? The fact is they were too conservative, but in very dishonest ways. One thing about Barry Goldwater the founder of modern conservatism. He was not corrupt and he never kowtowed to religious wackos. He was for government butting out of peoples' lives, including not being able to dictate womens reproductive rights. Goldwater urged his own daughter to get an abortion when some guy knocked her up.

Democrats won because they took over the middle. The centrist swing-voters were disgusted with corrupt Bushies and the Iraq War and went with Dems. That's the obvious fact. Also the Haggard and Foley scandals unmasked the religious right leadership as a bunch of hypocritical sleazeballs.
