Just before LGND went public in 1992, they brought in Senior Management and the VCs have reduced their positions significantly. LGND has done well on its previous seven strategic alliances (PFE, GLX, AGN, ABT, AHP, SBH, Sankyo) and I expect the diabetes deal to be the best one yet.
