If It Fails, ‘Flatten the Strip’ 19:11 Nov 16, '06 / 25 Cheshvan 5767 (IsraelNN.com) Kadima party member and Environment Minister Gideon Ezra said late Thursday afternoon that the best way to stop the Kassam rocket attacks from Gaza would be with a unilateral ceasefire. “There is a need to stop the fighting for a limited time and gauge how the Palestinians will react,” he said. “If they don’t adhere to our conditions, we will flatten the Strip.” Ezra is a former deputy head of the General Security Services (GSS or Shin Bet) and served as Public Security Minister until May 2006.
