CJ, I hear what you are saying, but I was being purposefully superficial just to stay within the realm of politics.

As for me, I don't believe there is such a thing as a "point of no return." Earth's climate is constantly changing due to a ton of factors, most of which are beyond our control. Of course when we have 6 billion people on this planet, we will have an impact on the environment no matter what.

Global warming is just one of those factors, but one which I don't believe justifies the drastic changes in lifestyle required to reverse it. And by drastic, I don't mean giving up SUVs for hybrids. I mean more, like moving within walking distance to work and to the grocery store, etc. Especially in light of China and India starting to contribute their share of CO2.
