No, Combjelly, it doesn't. The equilibrium continually shifts. That's my point. What you are describing is volatility in the climate, which is even less predictable and controllable than volatility in the stock market.

There are better and more important reasons to reduce our consumption of oil than global warming. I'm saying that even if we reduced our CO2 emissions by 25%, which itself is a very drastic change that cannot be solved by scrapping SUVs alone, it will still not be enough to reverse global warming. All it will amount to is a drop in the bucket.
