Jesus doll banned by Christmas toy charity - the first of two noteworthy items displaying liberal intolerance. People offended by Jesus probably shouldn't involve themselves in Christmas by giving presents to kids at all. But they shouldn't censor by banning the free expression of people who are Christians. :

Another PC self-contradiction
A reader writes us:

I heard a mind boggling news story on KHAY in Ventura, CA this morning. [Ed.: see here] Toys for Tots refused the donation of Jesus dolls that quote Bible verses because they may offend someone. This is the apex of political correctness gone crazy. We now are not going to welcome Jesus to his own birthday party? If you are offended by Jesus, why are you celebrating Christmas? I would suggest that everyone that was going to support Toys for Tots give their money to The Salvation Army instead. Sincerely, Gene Garrett

Update: Joseph Crowley adds:

Aside from the irony of a family exchanging or accepting “Christmas” gifts being offended by a toy representation of the man for whom the celebration of his birth is the basis for said celebration, what would be the harm of a Muslim or Jewish child offering to “give” the toy to another child that would not be offended? After all I read somewhere that it’s better to give than to receive?

P.S. One could also cut the pull-string that activates the Bible quotes and tell the child that it’s a Super Hero doll whose super power is that where ever he goes love and peace ensues (and his initials just happen to be JC).
