rbasrsom, Thanks for the background. Usually the short interest published at this time of the month was calculated earlier, i.e. last thursday the Investors Business Daily published the short interest effective as of 09/15/97 for NASDAQ NML, and NYSE stocks. I don't think the IBD publishes the short interest on the small caps. I would think that Barrons data was effective as of that date also. IATV has moved up from 1 11/32 to 1 21/32 since the date of the short interest data, and I would think at least a good percentage of the buying we have seen, has been the short covering. It is true, as Art mentioned in an earlier post, the small caps have a major rally happening at this time, which is expected to continue. There are two websites that publish the short interest but they haven't yet been updated with the Sept. figures, but that should happen very soon; for your future reference: viwes.com nasd.com If the company has positive news coming out, it would definitely help propel the stock.
