As much as you might like to personalize the situation, Shorting, Naked Shorting, box-job'ing, media and online manipulation, etc., all seem to be the concerns continually discussed in both the Media, SEC and government circles. If you want to pretend that these things don't exist because normal sources may cover them up or be denied the data to present them, you're welcome to your opinion. Running multiple sets of books has been mentioned numerous times, and showing the world the 'real' set doesn't seem to be in the manipulator's best interests. If repeating what's on the 'front page' is a problem for you, call the Media. .
