Will you stop complaining once America only represents 15% of the world's oil consumption? How about 10%? Nope...can't grow complacent. What are YOU personally going to sacrifice to make that happen? The house is colder in winter, warmer in summer, my electric bills are down about 40%, incandescent lights are gone, i didn't change my car, but my MPG is up 15% just by driving less aggressively, and some more such other things. I am considering a $20K investment in a photovoltaic system for the house...not moving closer to work, may build a greener house when i retire. That's it more or less... Hence my comment about "giving up your home and your car and moving closer to work." Bombast... Al
