People who have insufficient ethical backbone find it easy to fail.

That reminds me of a chap who ran the restaurant my wife worked in for a while. He was a Canadian, and became manager of the restaurant by virtue of marrying the widow who owned it with her late husband.

His favorite trick was to bring Canadian dollars in and run them through the till one for one with American dollars. Then he would take the American dollars over to the liquor store and load up.

It only took a couple of years for this jerk to drink up the entire equity in the restaurant. The woman, last I heard, was cooking in the place she used to own.
