11/17/06 Update
The Nasdaq Biotech Index had another excellent week. At Friday's close, the NBI was up 5.90% YTD (vs. up 3.57% YTD at its 11/10/06 close). The Charity Contest portfolios had an even better week, closing up 4.27% YTD (vs. up .58% YTD at the 11/10/06 close). At Friday's close, 28 of the 40 Charity Portfolios were in the black YTD (up from 21 last week) and 20 of the 40 portfolios were outperforming the NBI (up from 14 last week).
Our new No. 1 is RKRW! A combination of RKRW's portfolio being boosted by DVAX's jump and Wilder's portfolio being hit hard by ACAM's plunge was mainly responsible for the change in leadership. At Friday's close, RKRW's portfolio was up 55.6% YTD and Wilder's portfolio was up 51.9% YTD.
Have a productive "Get Ready for Thanksgiving" weekend everyone!
