This is the first year I've made money
since 2000, so I'm equally useless. Oh,
I might have goosed my net worth up an
extra 2% this year--better than nothing.
Not much of a stock picker either.

I owned a penny stock back in 1999 though,
it was fun to gamble and win that one time--
although it turned out to be a lot junkier
that I suspected it was. I did try a tiny
little biotech a year or two ago --ICOR.ob
or dot.pink, I think I broke even, ha, I
can't remember now.

In the spring of 2000 I rotated hot biotechs
into a handful of blue chip stocks: Had I held
those these past six years, I'd have done fabulous,
my net worth would have at least doubled.

But almost immediately, I got bored with those blue
chips, and bought treasuries instead. Oh, not a
terrible thing, but probably the single biggest
failure of my life. 20/20 hindsight, would have
been very hard to hold those stocks so long anyway.
