I generally agree. One area I disagree with libertarians on is drug policy. I think society has a right to outlaw some things as inherently too harmful for society at large. The most addictive and dangerous drugs like cocaine, meth, etc. are one example, imo.* Even when society allows certain things, it has the right to restrict individuals freedom to use them however they want - outlawing driving under the influence, selling to underage kids, etc.

* Marijuana is on the cusp. I wouldn't have a problem with it being legalized especially if I could be convinced some good would be accomplished thereby - like making the use of more harmful drugs less likely.

OTOH, I regard the whole idea that marijuana use is a positive good thing (old hippies don't get alzheimers, george washington was a dope-smoker, etc.) for all or most who use it as bullshit addicts use to justify their addiction to themselves. There's no difference between a guy who gets high every day for recreation and a drunk who drinks himself to sleep every night. Neither is cooler or healthier or wiser than the other.
