The value of stock is based on earnings and P/E ratio is the perception of growth or lack of it. Technical analysis which is overbought or oversold is the action of market makers, which is temporary. In todays market, these conditions are settled in three days maximum because of the e-market supply chain software brokers used.

But, often neglected in the fundamentals is the major stockholders' list. A well know name will indicate the stock has cash support and you are likely to ride on a coattail.

Buffett, Kerkoran, etc. are the people you should find to help you decide on investment ideas. I, personally like some of the venture capitalists, such as Van Rock Associates or Kleiner and company in silicon Valley but not the wild ones elsewhere.

Have fun with the big boys, you certainly can not lose big.
