C2. Acting white study = looks like not a good study but a great big effort to achieve nothing.
One is accused of acting white as soon as one separates oneself from peers by superior achievement. Acting dumb is as old as the hills and is a great way to fit in to white groups as well as any other group.
You can see it in voting - people vote to take the money from the evil-doing rich people. You can see people genuflecting to mob mentality and the lowest common denominator everywhere.
I experienced it young at school, so am sensitive to it. Acting dumb was a good idea. It suited everyone. There was no escape anyway, so acting dumb is the best idea.
Pretend to be like the rest and you'll do well [meaning won't be dragged down]. I don't think it applies to sports and physical alpha-maledom. Tough guys are looked up to by peers, teachers, all and sundry, and if you don't look up to them, they'll kick your head in. It's expected and demanded that sports heroes be cheered and adulated. Geeks are not cheered and adulated. Teachers think of them as a problem and somebody to have their energy drained in mindless repetitive tasks to keep them occupied. "Do another thousand problems while the rest try to catch up".
That's why there are traditionally pogroms against Jews. Jews are notable for intelligence, not for being the tall, strong, Aryan master race type. It's envy. Intelligence and Virtuous Values leads to wealth. Jews have wealth. Ipso facto, inter alia, Jews are bad.
Accusation of acting white is another way of expressing envy. In New Zealand we call it the tall poppy syndrome. You will see people who are picked out as being special saying they are "humbled", though some dare to say "honoured". It is a very good idea to not act white in New Zealand. The tax and other systems ensure nobody acts white, or gets uppity.
The "rich list" here is a joke. Being rich is the ultimate in acting white. The NZ rich list starts at about US$5 million. The number of people with more than US$100 million is about 10. Maybe 20. You could fill a stadium in the USA with people over US$100 million.
Negroes just drag their associates down like the rest do. The whites just drag their white associates down at a higher level because the average is higher. Acting white when white is as bad as acting white when melanin-rich.
Toss the study.

PS: Of course there are also stuck up snobs who are acting white when they aren't white, even if they are white [in the melanin-deficient sense] and also in the melanin-rich world some aren't white but try to act white. I expect that in "advanced classes" where people are selected for IQ or special ability, there is a lot of acting white when they are really just podunk try-hards. In those groups, it would be bad to not act white [since everyone is acting white]. Come to think of it, I experienced that one too, and after years of not acting white, it's tough to suddenly start acting white. It would all make a lot more sense if they left the "white" out of the study. It has nothing to do with melanin content. Melanin content is correlated, not causative. |
