It's all short term cap gains/losses. I use Gainskeeper to keep track. A lot of home accounting software doesn't handle options or wash sales well. You can do options in a Roth or Regular IRA.

If you are new to this, the best tool I've run into is this thread starting at post #1. I would read the first few 100 posts at least. It will save you a huge amount of time.
