Steve; I never argue religion with the priests. I suspect that the Unix market will stay more or less static in absolute terms as the entire market goes elsewhere and gets bigger. If unix is 10% now in five years it will be 3% of a three times larger market.There are probably areas where it works well and it will hang on by inertia. There are still CPM clubs. As time goes by all the unix players will either go broke or get bought or migrate to another OS, so the erosion will be incremental.
Ask the NS fans to invest more money in unix to see what they really believe.
