"Sauvignon Blanc is one of my favorite wines but I'd never want it with Thanksgiving dinner unless I was doing a simple oyster stuffing and serving a french one." SB, a french one, in my mind is a Sancerre most of the time. I think oysters+sancerre. I think sancerre is a little flinty for the meal but everyone has their own opinions and tastes for wine.

A light fruity red is one of the best combos. A good beaujolais, not the silly cherry kool aid nouveau, is good and pinot noir is good but a waste of fine wine for the typical Thanksgiving meal.

Rose Champagne is my first choice and I know not many are willing to chance it but you might be surprised. MP
