HILARY
Permit me to speculate, if you will, about an event that hopefully with never happen--that Hilary becomes the Democratic Presidential Candidate.
Should that happen, I believe we will see SWIFT-BOATING at a level that will make the attacks on John Kerry seem like mere
fluff...
Karl Rove's approach is:
Attack the person's PERECEIVED STRENGTHS!
In Hilary's case I believe that every VOTER SEGMENT that might be attracted to Hilary will be identified.
Then whatever it is that each segment LIKES about Hilary will be articulated.
Then an army of people will be set to work to provide the
COUNTER ATTACK ON ALL THOSE STRENGTHS.
Where factual information exists, it will be dredged up, then slanted, focused, misrepresented to achieve its ends.
Where nothing exists, plausible-sounding LIES will be created.
In the midst of the lies there will be a semi truthful item.
When the Dems attack the lies, it will come out that the semi-truthful item is more true than false. It will then seem that probably ALL the false allegations might be true, after all.
My prediction is that with Hilary, the Dems will NOT come up with an effective defense strategy, or counter-attack strategy, because she is ACTUALLY VULNERABLE in several areas. Don't ask me what they are, I just feel that's so.
Of course I may be wrong, and she may be as pure as driven snow
(before Global Warming, of course).
