I agree with you that Dell wanted to emphasize that AMD's chips are now in many Dell computers.

But your post (I thought) was to support a poster's association of AMD chips with increased Dell profits, or impressive results.

If you agree that AMD had little to do with Dell's last quarter results, then no big deal.

There may not be a direct link between Dell's revenue/profit and their use of AMD. But it would be odd if there wasn't since Dell decided to put one as the headline and the other as the subheading (or whatever you call it).

How can AMD contribute to Dell's profit last quarter ? Dell wasn't selling hardly any models with AMD chips (qurater ending Oct 31, '06) ?
