I have a theory that last year the 'big boys' threw their weight around where it wasn't necessary. Sure you can hand out punishing checks and sure they other guy likely gets it worse, but the checker takes a pounding too (multiply pounding by number of missed checks). Even though I'm a Rangers fan, I feel Philly could have beaten them without beating them. When the time came to play for the hardware, Philly had the crap beaten out of themselves. Tell Eric to pace himself and you got a winner. Dave Rowe PS Then again, find me one more producing, fast centre and the Rangers might give you a run!!! I'll check one more time just to be sure Sakic signed with the Avalanche???!!!
