smooth, thanks for the info. So that's another experiment in progress. Though not a social one.

The issue is: how true is the assertion made by pgrassi here that server share is very persistent and takes time to reverse, even with superior products. If the share gain-back by Intel is true, that is really impressive, and a bad omen for AMD. Server profits were AMD's main enabler to finance and spear-head their encroachment on Intel's market domination.

So now AMD is losing share in server, game, retail, and possibly desk-top in general. They have some notebook share to gain, mainly because computer maker want them to be viable competition to Intel. But will that keep going, or plateau at subsistence level ?
