If we eliminated the 50 cent per gallon import duty we would go a long way towards making ethanol more available and competitive. I'm all for that. I'd remove the subsidy on American ethanol, and remove the barriers to imports. If it makes ethanol competitive, then more ethanol will be used, and I don't have a problem with that. If ethanol is still not competitive, then so be it.
