I've had to put down two very good friends and I know it's not easy to think about someone else taking their place. But I do know that I'm a much better person for having a place in my heart and home for one that has no place to go. Our two that we have now came from the SPCA. Someone didn't want them or couldn't keep them due to circumstances. I can't think of how my life would be without them here. I know for a fact that I am a much better person because of them. I know it's not easy to pick up and go because of them but I do know, it's great knowing that they will be there when I get back.<g> Pets aren't for everyone, I'm not trying to push pet adoption off on anyone. I'm just speaking of my own experiences.<g>
