I don't think he'd even try. I think he'd try to get the nomination through the Blue States.

I think he'd concede the Southern States. He'd hope some really socially conservative candidate would split the vote in the Southern States with McCain and he'd win by default.

He might even concede Iowa in the early primaries. I think he'll run as a "fiscal conservative" with a strong national security aura.

Romney seems to be the wildcard in 2008 on the Republican side.
